Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Beyond Persona service ("BP", "we", "us"), available at beyondpersona.ai. By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

Beyond Persona is a digital personality measurement and analysis service that provides:

• A 288-item personality assessment measuring 36 axes across three layers (GROUND, LENS, MIRROR)
• AI-generated personalized insight essays based on assessment results
• Optional persona-based AI chat (Plus and Max tiers)
• Multi-language support — currently English and Korean. Chinese, Japanese, and additional languages are planned.

BP is intended for educational, self-reflection, and AI-literacy purposes. It is not a medical, psychiatric, or clinical diagnostic tool and does not replace professional medical or psychological advice.

2. Account Registration

• At launch, accounts are created via Google OAuth. Additional sign-in options (such as Apple) may be added over time.
• You must be at least 14 years of age to use the Service. Users between 14 and 17 require parental or guardian consent.
• You are responsible for the security of the third-party account used for sign-in and for all activity under your BP account.
• One account per natural person. Multiple accounts may result in suspension.

3. Purchases

• BP operates on a one-time payment model for each tier purchased.
• Payment is processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle's terms apply to the payment transaction itself.
• Credit balances (for AI chat) are non-transferable and non-refundable in cash.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. In particular, you agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code or models
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Service
• Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, or violates third-party rights
• Share, resell, or sublicense your account access
• Submit prompt injections or attempt to manipulate the AI systems

5. Intellectual Property

• The BP service, including the 36-axis model, assessment questions, archetype profiles, and underlying methodology, is the intellectual property of Beyond Persona.
• Your personal assessment results and AI-generated insight texts are yours to use for personal purposes only. You may not republish or commercially distribute them.
• You grant BP a limited license to process your assessment data solely for the purpose of generating your analysis and improving the Service (in anonymized form).
• Unauthorized commercial distribution or republication may result in civil and criminal liability under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

BP uses third-party AI models to generate analysis essays and chat responses. AI output:

• May contain inaccuracies, omissions, or interpretations that do not perfectly match your actual personality
• Should be treated as a reflective tool, not as authoritative truth
• Is generated probabilistically and may vary between sessions
• Is not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, psychological, or other professional advice

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BP's total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

BP shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, or service interruptions.

8. Account Suspension and Termination

• You may request account deletion at any time by contacting support@beyondpersona.ai.
• BP may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably practicable.
• Any refund requests must be submitted before account deletion or termination, in accordance with the Refund Policy.

9. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator's jurisdiction. Disputes shall first be addressed by good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration or the appropriate competent court.

10. Changes to These Terms

BP may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email and posted on this page at least 10 business days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
