FIRED PATTERN
When the steering wheel of a life gets handed over to fate
One of 53 fired patternsThis pattern fires when three things combine: a belief that hands decisions and their outcomes to circumstance, fate, and chance; the absence of a circuit that builds anything steadily; and the absence of consistency that pushes in one direction. From the outside it looks like a free life, but its core is the avoidance of hard choices and the responsibility that comes with them — a mode of flowing on without putting down roots anywhere.
Work, address, relationships — all of it goes wherever the current decides. When things get hard, it is time to leave; the right fit just has not come along yet, and there was nothing to be done about it — both phrases make frequent appearances.
The lightness with which new territory gets tried is a real resource. But nothing accumulates in any one place, so as the years pass, two things empty out at once: deep relationships, and a domain that is one's own.
A free choice is one whose consequences you take into your own hands; avoidance hands the choice itself to the outside. Two kinds of drift can look alike while running on different fuel — there is a drift that follows pleasure, but the fuel of this pattern is not pleasure; it is the weight of responsibility. What you are drifting away from is the key to reading it.
The same pattern bends a life differently depending on how strongly it fires. Kept light, free movement and partial accumulation can coexist; as it deepens, the circuits of commitment and accumulation lock up together, and the place that would have been yours to return to disappears. Your own firing intensity, and what to do about it, are part of your assessment results.
