Another reason is that it talks about what comes next. While others are discussing the current topic, it talks about what will happen after, which sounds unrelated. Sorting out the current topic first and adding what comes next afterward makes the point much clearer.
People who use Ni are strong in work with a lot of information where the important parts have to be picked out, because they can see a common direction in many pieces of information.
It also suits decisions whose results appear only much later. It thinks ahead about what results a present choice will lead to.
They work in opposite directions. People who use Ni narrow many possibilities down to one, and people who use Ne think of many possibilities from one.
So they reach different results from the same material. People who use Ni ask what it ultimately means, and people who use Ne ask what more can be done with it. Both are intuitive functions, but one narrows the possibilities and the other widens them.
When Ni is very strong, interpretation comes before the facts that can be checked now. It sometimes treats things that have not happened yet as already decided and turns out to be wrong.
At a moderate level, it checks the facts while also judging what comes next. When Ni is weak, the person pays close attention to what is in front of them but thinks little about how things will turn out.
