Se takes in what is happening now exactly as it is. It looks at the facts before interpreting them.
Se is a way of perceiving that takes in what is happening now exactly as it is. The other person's expression, the mood of the room, and what can be used right now all become information immediately.
That is why it reacts quickly. When the situation changes, it does not insist on the original plan but decides again to fit the conditions at the time.
It tries things directly and checks. It believes trying something once is faster than listening to a long explanation.
That is why it remembers what it has learned through doing for a long time. It judges based on what it has actually done rather than what it has read.
It spends little time reviewing, so it seems to act without thinking. In fact, it does distinguish between what can be undone and what cannot.
But because it does not say so, the people around it cannot tell. For big decisions, stating the reason in one sentence changes the impression.
It is strong in work where unexpected things happen often and judgments must be made right away. It understands the current situation accurately and responds immediately.
It also suits work that uses the body or handles physical objects. It notices small differences through touch.
They refer to different things. Se uses what is happening now as its standard, and Si uses what it has experienced.
So they see risk differently. Se judges by the signals it can see now, and Si prepares in advance for the parts that caused problems before. Se has the advantage in urgent situations, and Si in work that repeats.
When Se is very strong, the person focuses on the present but does not think much about what comes later. Choosing what works right now sometimes leads to losses later.
At a moderate level, they respond to the present while also preparing for what comes next. When Se is weak, they tend to miss what is happening now but are good at following a plan.
The strength of Se can be seen separately in the assessment results. Even within the same type, people with different Se scores respond to situations very differently.
